Going to Alaska!

Hi Everyone,

We leave tomorrow morning. We fly to Seattle then on to Anchorage, Alaska. There we will meet M G & G Winters and board the cruise ship (Coral Princess) and cruise down to Vancouver. Then we will put the folks on a plane to Calgary and we will head home. We should be home around 6-7 pm Monday May 26.

We will have our cell phones turned off but will hopefully access our email 1 or 2 times. So if you need to get a non-urgent message just send it to kamlawinters@hotmail.com. If you have an urgent message then get hold of Princess Cruise Line.

I will try to post Donovan's email on Friday if I am not successfull then it will have to wait until next Monday. The same goes for Jordyn's emails.

Thanks Brooke and Falon (Chris and Paul too) for making sure Pippin and Shelby and the fish are fed. Love you all and we will see or talk to you in a week.

Elder Donovan Winters

Well Donovan made it to SLC and to the MTC today safely. Grandparents picked him up and he stayed with them overnight. This morning he went out to eat with them and then called me to see if I packed a LINT ROLLER in his bag. He called me again after he registered and before the orientation meeting. Grandparents went to the meeting with him and called me after. When Donovan saw all the people crying he leaned over to Grandma and said "This is why I did not want my mum or sisters to be here!" She said he said goodbye and off he went, he was very anxious to get going. When I spoke with him he said he was ready and he sounded great. Thanks for all your help the past week or so. It is a good feeling to know he is where he should be. Love Mum

Family Dinner at the New Place!!

Hello Family!!!

Paul and I would like to have a dinner at our new house w/ the family before Dj leaves. It's a good excuse to get everyone together :)

So here are the dates that we were thinking: Sat April 19th, or Sun the 20th (Jordyn won't be home for either of these dates though) OR Thurs the 24th, or Fri the 25th (& Jordyn should be home for both of these dates). Please let me (or mom) know which would be better for everyone.

For food we wanted to do Hawaiian Haystacks with Ice Cream sundaes for dessert. This is what I thought would work well for assignments. Let me know what you guys think??

Mom & Dad: Chicken Sauce & an ice cream topping
Brooke & Chris: tomatoes, pineapple & an ice cream topping
Brynn: grated cheese & an ice cream topping
Falon & Paul: Rice, celery, onions & vanilla ice cream

And that was it....I hope we can all figure out a date for everyone to be here, it'll be fun!!!

Sorry, I guess I erased the first message.

We are all set for the temple this Saturday for the 12 noon session. Dad and Donovan have to be there at 10:30, the rest of us at 11:30 am. Afterwards we will be going to The Gourmet Pizza Shoppe for lunch (Dad's treat!!) Directions are below. Looking forward to seeing you all.

ps. Brynn if you could get to the Pizza place between 2-2:30 and get a table for us, that would be really helpful.

Directions for Brynn:
From Interstate 10 going east, exit on Orange Street and head straight through the stop sign. At the stop light on Orange Street, turn right onto Orange, and then left three lights later on State Street.
The Gourmet Pizza Shoppe is two blocks down on the right.

Directions from the temple:
From Interstate 10 going west (from Banning etc.), exit on Sixth Street and turn left at the bottom of the ramp. Take the first right under the freeway overpass, and then a left at the first light, which is Orange Street. Three lights later, turn left on State Street. The Gourmet Pizza Shoppe is two blocks down on the right.

Hi Family!!! Just thought I would actually try using this blog thing. Well, just thought I would let you all know that I just got an A on one of my tests so I'm happy. Well, I think this is the end of my message because I don't have much to say. But it was great being home, even if it was for only a short while. Also, thanks sooooo much for all my gifts.....everything was greatly needed for my trip to Jordan....so thanks a lot!!! Love you all!
